    1.     What is Employee Motivation?

 

    “The aim is to obtain added value through people in the sense that the value of their output exceeds (Armstrong, 2010).      

         Employee motivation is defined as the enthusiasm, energy level, commitment and the amount of creativity that an employee brings to the organization on a daily basis.

 

    2.     Types of motivation

            2.1 Intrinsic motivation


    •  Individual employee is motivated from within.
    • The performance of the employee to engage the result of the organization success. It can be her/his birth ability. But leaders should be identify his/her qualities, abilities, at the workplace such as acceptance, curiosity, honor, and desire to make them engage to organization goals.

 

            2.2 Extrinsic motivation

                If employee motivate through some external factors such as rewards and recognition.                     According  that external factors can be promotions, bonus, incentive payments, awards, perks……          etc.

            Some of employees doesn’t motivate internally then they are always expect to external rewards to make their life comfortable.

 

    3.     How can you identify motivated employee?

    •   Client will give positive and “WOW” feedback of the employee.
    •   There is a positive atmosphere within the organization.
    •   Coworkers are staying happy and feel safe at work.
    •   Employee always achieve better result on their related duty.

 

        3.1 Advantages of the motivated employee to the organization

 

    •   It makes loyal employee to the organization.
    •   High level motivation will guide to decrease employee turnover.
    •   Introduce about the production of the business to the society free of charge.
    •   Always try to protect the goodwill of the organization.
    •   Motivation can be increase the level of employee engagement.

 

        4.     Herzberg Motivation Theory

            Fredric Herzberg found the model in 1959 by interviewing 200 professionals and finalized the "Theory of the Motivation".

        4.1 How to use Herzberg theory in practice?

    •   Identify and change unnecessary company policies.
    •   Analyze and compare with other comparative organization’s offers for employees to achieve organization’s expectation.
    •   Top managers should be guiders not only bosses. Then all employees will respect you and supportive with company goals.
    •   Make sure according to market standards, you will offer bonus, Incentive, and perks on time. If not employees will not engage to gain company objectives taking any responsibilities.
    •   Make sure the jobs are constructed well and employees feel valuable and meaningful of their jobs.
    •   Delegate employee’s responsibilities and let them feel “Employees are the treasure of the organization”.
    •   Respecting employees individually and take necessary action as soon as possible.

 

       5.     Conclusion

        Human is a sensitive object. They always expect for admiration, rewards, consideration as well as their dedication behalf of their workplace.

        Employee motivation is the highly important fact to development of the organization. Leaders have a main responsibility to keep their employees without disappointment. Otherwise they will discourage about their services and also they will make some decision to leave the company.                Because every employee dreaming to make their personal lives wealthy as well as directing to the organization's common goals.

        Protecting existing employee and encouraging employee, will be main fact out of the facts we  were discussed above for reducing employee turnover, increasing employee engagement to the organization's goals.

        When we considering all the importance of the employee motivation, human resource can easily manage without any obligations, arguments between management and other employees.

    Or Motivations entire organization management duties? Those responsibilities only from HRM?
